JAKARTA, NNC - Based on the investigation of one national media, Alexis Hotel and Massage Parlor – which has been closed since October 2017 – is again practicing prostitution.
Responding to the result of the media investigation, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan expressed his gratitude and promised to follow up the findings according to regulation.
"Thanks to the investigative report of Tempo magazine, and we will take it as an input to act because this is s a violation of the rules," Anies said at Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (1/30/2018).
"So if there are reports of violations we must follow up, we prepare the steps," said the former Minister of Education and Culture.
Previously, Vice Governor of Jakarta, Sandiaga Uno admitted to having coordinated with Municipal Police (Satpol PP) and Jakarta Tourism and Culture Agency, to follow up information about the practice of prostitution in Alexis.
"Actually yesterday, I have coordinated with Mrs. Tinia (Head of Tourism and Culture). So we will start to mobilize again," said Sandi at City Hall, Jakarta, Monday (1/29).
"We are waiting for a report from friends at Satpol PP and tourism and culture," said Gerindra politician.
Added Sandi, if later Alexis is proved to be practicing prostitution again, the Provincial Government of Jakarta will provide strict sanctions.
"And we want to make sure that order and compliance with government regulations can be the focus of this business," Sandi said.
As is known, at the end of October 2017, Alexis management decided to discontinue hotel and massage parlor operations, following the issuance of Jakarta Department of One Stop Service (PTSP), which has not yet processed the application for the extension of the Tourism Business Signature (TDUP) of the venue.
