JAKARTA, NNC - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has taken part in the process of supervising simultaneous Regional Head Election (Pilkada) in 2018. In the process of supervision, the prosecutor's office has formed a command center.
This is affirmed by Junior Attorney General of General Crimes at AGO Noor Rachmad. According to him, monitoring is done to prevent unwanted things.
"Adhyaksa Corps has formed a command center to conduct monitoring," said Noor Rachmad at AGO, Friday (1/12/2018).
Not only that, the AGO also makes intelligence estimates about the areas that need to be anticipated to prevent unwanted things. To that end, the AGO prepares special experienced prosecutors to work in Integrated Law Enforcement (Gakkumdu).
"Obviously we also coordinate with related agencies in order to streamline the implementation of Gakkumdu," Noor said.
Related to that, he reminded that election cases are different from others. Electoral matters have a time limit of 51 days which must be completed after being reported until the verdict.
Therefore, Noor continued, the effectiveness in Gakkumdu is so important that law enforcement is not hindered by the expiry of time.
Another problem is the absence of a prosecutor's office in a region that holds the Pilkada. Therefore, there will be appointed district attorney officers in the surrounding area to join the local Gakkumdu.
