PDIP Appoints Soekarno Granddaughter, Puti Guntur, to Accompany Gus Ipul in East Java Gov Election

Puti Guntur Soekarno carried by PDIP as vice governor candidate of East Java accompanying Gus Ipul.

JAKARTA, NNC - It is legitimate. Finally, the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) is officially carrying Puti Guntur Soekarno as a candidate for vice governor of East Java to accompany Saifullah Yusuf aka Gus Ipul. Puti replaced Banyuwangi Regent Abdullah Azwar Anas who decided to resign from his candidacy on Saturday (1/6/2018).

Related to that, East Java governor candidate Gus Ipul has taken a recommendation letter of candidacy in East Java Gubernatorial Election with Puti in Central Office of PDIP, in Lenteng Agung, Wednesday (1/10).

"Yes, he has [taken] SK in the Central Executive Board of Lenteng Agung. Later, let Ms. Megawati immediately announces," said Bambang to reporters in the office of PDIP in Diponegoro.

Previously, Azwar Anas resigned after inappropriate photos that allegedly belonged to him were spread in cyberspace. PDIP then determined a number of names as his successor.

Previously, Puti Guntur Soekarno was met with Gus Ipul at the residence of Megawati, on Jalan Teuku Umar, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (1/9) night.

Puti is currently a member of the council at Commission X of the House of Representatives. Puti name had previously entered the nomination as a governor candidate of PDIP in West Java before officially carrying TB Hasanuddin-Anton Charliyan.
