JAKARTA, NNC - Survey Institute Indo Barometer predicts that the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) will be the first winner in the 2019 Legislative Election. Following PDI-P is Golkar Party, Gerindra Party and PKB.
"So, if the legislative election is held today, the most elected party is PDI Perjuangan 30.2 percent," said Indo Barometer Executive Director Muhammad Qodari in a survey entitled "Who is Potential Challenger for Jokowi in 2019" at Senayan on Sunday (12/3/2017) yesterday.
In his speech, Golkar Party is predicted to reach 12.5 percent, Gerindra Party 10.8 percent, Democratic Party 7.7 percent, National Awakening Party (PKB) 6 percent. Following later, the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) 5 percent, NasDem Party 3.8 percent, PPP 3.3 percent, PAN and Hanura two percent, Perindo 1.5 percent, PSI 0.2 percent, Working Party 0.1 percent, The Garuda Party is 0.1 percent.
"When compared to the 2014 election, PDI Perjuangan was up by 11.25 percent. At that time PDI Perjuangan won 18.95 percent while Golkar decreased 2.25 percent. At that time Golkar won 14.75 percent while Gerindra a decline of 1.01 percent. At that time Gerindra grabbed 11.81 percent, then Democrats lost 2.49 percent. In 2014 the Democrats gained 10.19 percent," Qodari said.
He explained based on the survey the main reason for the public to vote for the party because of liking the figures 18.6 percent, the nationalist party 15.2 percent, joining family choice 11.9 percent, old choice from 9.6 percent, close to the people of 9.6 percent and religious 9.6 percent.
Meanwhile, the survey was held on November 15-23, 2017, involving 1,200 respondents in Indonesia. Sampling was using multistage random sampling. The margin of error is approximately 2.38 percent, a confidence level of 95 percent.
