R Mulyono Rahadi Prabowo, Deputy of Meteorology at the Indonesia Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), said the 95S cyclone potential appears in southern Central Java with a center of about 9.6 South Latitude, 109.4 degrees east longitude or about 240 km south of southwest Cilacap.
He added that at the same time, there are also 96S tropical cyclone potential in the Indian Ocean southwest of Bengkulu at 6.8LS, 94.2BT moving towards the east southeast. This cyclone potential is located in southern Java, and has more potential to grow into tropical cyclones. This seedlings affect the weather in Indonesia, especially Java.
"It is estimated that for tomorrow and the next day there will be an increase in the potential for heavy rain and strong winds of more than 20 knots in the areas of Yogyakarta, Southern Central Java and South East Java," Mulyono said in a press release yesterday (26/11/2017).
