TABALONG, NETRALNEWS.COM - Five health community centers (puskesmas) in Tabalong District, South Borneo, received aid of five ambulance units to support better health services for residents.
Regent of Tabalong Anang Syakhfiani handed over the ambulance units along with the 53rd Health Day commemoration at Taman Giat Tanjung.
"Puskesmas is expected to solve health problems in the community because it needs operational support, such as ambulance unit," said Anang at Tanjung, Tuesday (11/14/2017).
The local government also handed over operational car assistance to pediatric, surgical and eye doctors, as well as motorcycles for puskesmas in remote areas of Panaan Village, Bintang Ara Sub-district, Jaro and Health Office.
Anang said the commemoration of Health Day aims to improve public health and socialize Healthy Living Community Movement (Germas). On the same occasion, Anang also gave awards for doctors, exemplary health officers such as physician Poppy Kusuardiyanto from Muara Uya Puskesmas.
Other awards went to the dentist category Tenry Ariny from Murung Pudak Puskesmas, Rinto Harahap from Nursing (PugaanPuskesmas) and Ani Marliani from public health
