MANADO, NETRALNEWS.COM - North Sulawesi Governor Olly Dondokambey has inaugurated the North Sulawesi Parliament building located in Kairagi Village, Manado City, Saturday (9/23/2017).
The inauguration was held to coincide with the 53rd anniversary of the North Sulawesi Province, marked by ribbon cutting and inscription signing.
The inauguration was followed by a special plenary meeting of 53rd anniversary of North Sulawesi Province, led by Speaker of North Sulawesi Parliament Andrei Angouw.
"By the inauguration and the use of this new building, it will be a motivation for the leaders and members of parliament in improving performance for the progress of North Sulawesi," Angouw said at the special plenary meeting.
He said the construction of this office begins with the first milestone on October 13, 2014 by the Governor of North Sulawesi at that time Sinyo Sarundajang and the House Speaker Steven Kandouw who currently serves as Vice Governor of North Sulawesi.
North Sulawesi Governor Olly Dondokambey said by the inauguration of the building, of course people expect the performance of provincial’s parliaments and government to be more effective and more useful for the society.
He added that the aspirations and needs of the community will be realized together on the partnership of provincial government and parliament.
"As in settling the regional regulations in the wake of the Zoning Regulation, which is very beneficial for the development of North Sulawesi," he said.
Dondokambey also highly appreciated Sinyo Sarundajang who served as the former governor and Steven Kandouw as the House speaker who have initiated the construction of this building.
Deputy Governor Steven Kandouw, Forkopimda, former governors of North Sulawesi, the head of the regional apparatus unit, religious leaders, and community leaders were seen attended the plenary meeting.
