Early Week, JCI Rises 0.32 Percent (Monitor Today)

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed up 18.27 points (+0.32 percent) at the end of early trading on Monday (6/19/2017).

A total of 134 stocks rose, 167 shares fell, and 112 other shares were stagnant.

Throughout the day, the composite index moved in the range of 5,726.77 (+3 points) to 5,745.57 (+ 22 points). Total trade value reached IDR5.24 trillion.

Stock trading volume reached 9.12 billion shares and transaction frequency of 221,376 times.

Earlier this week, foreign investors posted net selling of IDR51 billion in all markets. Stocks most widely sold by foreign investors were Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLKM), Bank Central Asia (BBCA), Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BBRI), Bank Mandiri (BMRI) and Astra International (ASII).

Meanwhile, as many as six sectors rose by the end of trading. Advancement was led by the trade sector with 0.85 percent, infrastructure 0.84 percent and property sector 0.64 percent.

Meanwhile, the biggest dropping sectors were the base industry sector with -0.60 percent and the mining sector -0.43 percent. (*)
