JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed up 10.55 points (+0.18 percent) at the end of the first trading session on Monday (6/19/2017).
A total of 149 stocks went up, 165 shares fell, and 105 other shares were unchanged in price.
Meanwhile, throughout the session, the composite index moved in the range of 5,731.08 (+7 points) to 5,745.57 (+22 points).
Stock trading volume reached 4.33 billion shares of the frequency of transactions totaling 111,168 times. Total value of trade reached IDR2.20 trillion.
Foreign investors posted a net buying of IDR57 billion in the entire market. The stocks most widely purchased by foreigners were Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLKM), Bank Central Asia (BBCA), Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BBRI), United Tractors (UNTR), and Astra International (ASII).
Six advancing sectors were led by the financial sector with 0.92 percent, property sector 0.72 percent, and infrastructure sector 0.46 percent.
Meanwhile, the biggest dropping sectors were the mining sector with -0.42 percent and the base industry sector with -0.39 percent. (*)
