JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - The Bank Indonesia (BI) Board of Governors meeting in March 2019 has decided to maintain the 7-day Reverse Repo Rate or the benchmark interest rate at 6 percent.

Bank Indonesia also kept the Deposit Facility interest rate at 5.25 percent, and the Lending Facility at 6.75 percent.

"The BI Board of Governors' Meeting on March 20-21 2019 decided to keep the BI 7-day repo," said Perry Warjiyo, Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI), at the BI Office, Jakarta, Thursday (03/21/2019).

He said that Bank Indonesia would also continue to strengthen cooperation with the government to continue to maintain economic stability. Meanwhile, interest rate policies remain focused on external stability.

"Bank Indonesia is taking another more accommodative policy to boost domestic demand," he concluded.

As it is known, the Central Bank of the United States (US) of the Federal Reserve (The Fed) maintained its benchmark interest rate (Fed Fund Rate/FFR). There is no increase in the Fed's interest rates currently in the range of 2.25 percent to 2.5 percent.
