Village Minister: Rubber Distribution for Asphalt Will be Managed by BUMDes (netralnews)

NORTH BENGKULU, NETRALNEWS - Minister of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Areas, and Transmigration Eko Putro Sandjojo says rubber farming products in North Bengkulu will be used by the Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing (PUPR) for asphalt materials. Regarding distribution, he wants the agricultural products to be managed by Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes).

Minister Eko said the government would also help infrastructure connectivity in North Bengkulu, especially connectivity between sub-districts. Because the road infrastructure built by village funds will not run optimally if it is not supported by connectivity between sub-districts.

"The rubber problem will be assisted by the Ministry of PUPR, collect or collected by BUMDes. This rubber will be used for asphalt-making materials," Minister Eko said, quoted from the PDTT Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, Tuesday (03/19/2019).

Infrastructure connectivity needs to be done because the North Bengkulu is still considered to lack infrastructure. Many areas have roads, the bridges have not been good and the Ministry of Public Works and Housing will help with the connectivity issues.

Regarding infrastructure connectivity, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said the government's priority for North Bengkulu was to fulfill connectivity, especially for plantation area connectivity. As is known, some people in North Bengkulu live in the plantation sector.

"As stated by the Minister of the Village, no matter how good village funds if outgoing connectivity is not fulfilled, the results will not be maximized for the welfare of the community. We will cover up for the connectivity of plantation areas," said Minister Basuki.

During a working visit to North Bengal, Minister Eko also handed over certificates of ownership of 400 transmigrants and 538 fields of land ownership certificates in North Bengkulu Regency.

In addition, he also handed over assistance to the facilities and infrastructure of the transmigration area, assistance to the transmigration socio-cultural development, and assistance in the development of transmigration businesses and affirmative special allocation fund assistance in the form of increasing non-status roads in North Bengkulu Regency.
