JAKARTA, NNC - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) supports the Social Forestry Program which is now being developed in West Java.
BNI's support is in the form of channeling people's business loans (KUR) to farmers cultivating forest land in West Java, especially in Garut, Cianjur and Indramayu Regencies.
BNI’s Small Business and Network Director, Catur Budi Harto said the company supports the Social Forestry Program as an innovation in improving the welfare of farmers cultivating forest land. The company noted that in the three districts developed, there are 2,313 recipients of the SK Forestry Decree, both the Decree on the Permit for Utilization of Social Forestry (IPHPS) and the Decree on Recognition of Forestry Partnership Protection (KULINKK).

He said BNI has distributed KUR to cultivate forest land in West Java amounting to IDR470 million. While the ones in process amount to IDR5.5 billion. It is targeted that the total distribution of KUR can reach 220 farmers working on land receiving SK.
