JAKARTA, NNC - PT Pegadaian (Persero) intensified The Gade Goes To Campus Program to various cities in Indonesia, marked by the awarding of scholarships in the form of Gold Savings worth IDR120 million for students of Universitas Airlangga (Unair).
"The Gade Goes To Campus Program is an effort by Pegadaian to get closer and seek good talents to young people and introduce Gold Savings for future generations," said PT Pegadaian (Persero) President Director Sunarso after giving a public lecture at Unair, Surabaya, Thursday (11/08/2018).
Sunarso added that through the Gade Goes to Campus program, Pegadaian wanted to show that the company is now a proud place to work, as well as looking for young talents on the best campuses in Indonesia. In addition, this is an effort to provide financial literacy for the generation of millennials, amid the increasingly rapid digital technology industry and the large number of financial products.
Sunarso said that Pegadaian's age has now passed 117 years and will continue to be young/simple along with the ongoing transformation process. "At present we continue to transform to become easier, more comfortable and faster in serving customers, especially the millennial generation. One of our digital products for the millennial generation is Pegadaian digital Service (PDS)."
On this occasion Pegadaian provided scholarships in the form of Gold Savings given to 20 Unair students as a form of appreciation for high achiever ones. "With this Gold Savings, Pegadaian wants to educate students and the public that having Gold Savings is the safest form of savings and its value continues to increase."
Pegadaian Goes to Campus is part of the SOE Present for the Country program to provide education to school and university students about the role of SOEs in economic development. On the other hand, it also introduces SOEs as well as SOE products and services that benefit the community.
"In the next 5 years, our main vision is for Pegadaian to be the most valuable finance company in Indonesia. Therefore, we must continue to look for young talents on the best campuses in Indonesia. Besides looking for profit, we also share good things. Because our next dream is to be a part of important national financial inclusion," he said.
Meanwhile, to achieve this vision, Pegadaian prepared a grand strategy known as G5star, consisting of a Grow Core, Grab New Business Opportunity, Grooming Talent, Generation Z-technology or The Latest Technology, and the last is Great Culture. By achieving a transformation program in Pegadaian's body, it is hoped that Pegadaian's performance will grow further in the future.
