JAKARTA, NNC -Toyota has recalled more than 1 million vehicles related to air bag issues. The occurring problem includes a possibility of air bag inflation, even when the car is not experiencing an accident.
According to the Fortune on Friday, Nov 2, the recall only affects a small number of vehicles in the United States, specifically 17,000 Scion xA vehicles manufactured between 2004 and 2006.
Toyota said the problem was due to a short circuit in the vehicle that damaged the circuit, prompting it to deactivate the air bag or cause it to inflate.
Other vehicles affected by the recall, especially in Japan and Europe, includes Isis, Avensis, Avensis Wagon, Allex, ist, Wish, Corolla, Spacio Corolla, Corollo Verso, Corolla Fielder, Corolla Runx, and Sienta, which were produced between July 2002 and June 2015, the ABC News reported.
