JAKARTA, NNC - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) together with Perum Jasa Tirta II (PJT II) and PT Multi Optimal Sentosa (MOS) to develop the Purwakarta, West Java, industrial area.
The MoU was signed by PJT II CEO Djoko Saputro, PGN CEO Gigih Prakoso, and MOS Board of Directors Authority Hadi Setiadarmaho on Monday, Nov 5.
Currently, MOS is a business entity that is developing integrated industrial estates in Purwakarta, West Java. In the development and construction of the integrated industrial estate, MOS collaborates with PGN and PJT II to provide facilities needed by the industry.
PGN CEO Gigih Prakoso says with the signing of the MoU between the three parties, the development of industrial estate will bring comfort to activities for industry players who will later inhabit the area. Both PGN and PJT II had abundant experience in handling many commercial clients, including large industries.
In addition, Gigih believe the MoU reflects a stronger synergy among business entities to drive the national economy.
"Synergy is very much needed, industry players must synergize with regional developers, and regional developers must also team up with other parties, including facilities providers," he said.
The MoU mentions that PGN would later support as well as the capabilities and resources that are owned to be used by MOS. PJT II will also be utilized for the development of industrial estates.
Next, MoU will be finalized into the collaboration agreement or other written documents. The deal will later be used as a reference for the utilization of facilities and other technical schemes.
One example of the synergy that has been made with industrial estates that have utilized PGN's services is the Java Integrated Industrial and Port Estate Industrial Estate (JIIPE) in Gresik, East Java. The industrial area is managed by PT Berkah Manyar Sejahtera Region (BKMS).
