Three Ministries Team up in Promoting Integrated Fisheries at 2018 33rd Trade Expo Indonesia, at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Banten.

TANGERANG, NNC - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF), and the Ministry of Trade are working together to promote integrated fisheries.

This synergy was realized in the 33rd Trade Expo Indonesia pavilion which took place on October 24-28, 2018 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang, Banten.

"Various efforts to increase exports continue to be carried out. One of them is through the synergy of three Ministries, that is, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, and the Ministry of Trade which together promote integrated fisheries," explained the Director General of National Export Development, Arlinda, in a press release, Saturday (10/27/2018).

The Integrated Fisheries Promotion Pavilion with the theme "Promoting Indonesian Fisheries to Global Market" is located in hall 8 of the food and beverage zone. The Integrated Fisheries Promotion Pavilion consists of three promotional areas. First is Promotion of Fishery Products, second Marine and Fisheries Investment Promotion and third supporting booths.

In the Fishery Product Promotion area, there are three pavilions, i.e., the 108 m2 pavilion of MMAF, state-owned fisheries companies Perum Perindo & PT Perinus pavilion covering an area of 27 m2, and an independent booth. The MMAF pavilion carries the theme Indonesian Seafood: Naturally Diverse with the tagline: Safe and Sustainable.

Whereas the area of Marine and Fisheries Investment Promotion consists of pavilions of Aceh Province, Natuna Regency and Morotai Regency covering an area of 36 m2, as well as Biak & Mimika pavilion with an area of 21 m2. The supporting booths are the 9 m2 occupied by Association of Maluku Ocean Charm and 9 m2 by the Logistic Company.

In addition, the MMAF also provided a 54 m2 pavilion in Hall 2 Booth No 2-9a which is intended for five pearl business actors and associations to promote the South Sea pearls of Indonesia. The participating businesses are including Permata Bunda, Rosario, Charma, Pearlindo Jewelry, and Asbumi.

Activities that took place during TEI 2018 in the promotion of fishery products are the visit of buyers to PT Kelola Biru Harmoni in North Jakarta as well as business forums and business matching.
