JCI Opens 0.6 Percent Lower Ahead of Weekend

JAKARTA, NNC - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) opened down 35 points (0.6 percent) to 5,810 at the weekend stock trading, Friday (10/19/2018). The LQ45 liquidity index fell 1.06 percent and all stock sector indexes weakened.

Only as many as 31 stocks rose in the beginning of trading where as many as 101 stocks actually dropped in price. In addition, 107 other stocks stagnated.

Trading volume at the beginning of the transaction hours was around 196.3 million stocks with a trading frequency of 6,737 times, and the total transaction value of IDR133.7 billion. Foreign investors recorded net sell of IDR16.7 billion in all markets.

The sectoral index of basic industrial stocks weakened by at least 1.08 percent, followed by the infrastructure sector which slumped 0.95 percent and the financial sector weakened 1.04 percent.

IDX:ARTA shares recorded the highest increase (top gainer) of 6.29 percent to IDR169 per share, followed by IDX:GOOD up 4.71 percent to IDR2,670 per share, and IDX:SDPC rose 8.25 percent to IDR105 per share.

The top losers were, among others, namely the IDX:SMRU fell 4.76 percent to IDR500 per share, the IDX:LPCK fell 4.14 percent to IDR1,270 per share, and the IDX:SMNT fell 3.65 percent to IDR185 per share.
