Pertamina Raises Pertamax Fuel Oil Price to IDR10,400 per Liter (pertaminer)
JAKARTA, NNC - State-owned energy company Pertamina has adjusted the price of non-subsidized fuel oil at gas stations, especially Pertamax Series and Dex Series fuel oil, as well as Biosolar Non Public Service Obligation (PSO) diesel fuel starting today. The new prices are valid throughout Indonesia at 11.00 Indonesian western time.
However, the company has made no changes to the prices of Premium fuel oil, PSO Biosolar diesel fuel, and Pertalite. It has also kept prices unchanged in areas affected by natural disasters in West Nusa Tenggara and Central Sulawesi.
Arya Dwi Paramita, External Communication Manger at Pertamina, said that adjustments in the prices of Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite, Pertamina Dex, and Non-PSO Biosolar diesel fuel prices were attributed to global crude oil prices that continued to climb.
"Currently, global oil prices has penetrated US$80 per barrel on average," Arya said, as quoted in Pertamina's official statement on Wednesday (10/10).
He explained, the setting of this price increase refers to Energy Minister Decree No. 34 of 2018 Fifth Amendment to the Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources No. 39 of 2014, concerning the Calculation of Retail Selling Prices of BBM.
Based on this provision, Pertamina has made price adjustments. In Greater Jakarta, for example, the Pertamax price is increased to IDR10,400 per liter, or up by IDR900 from IDR9,500 per liter.
The new price of Pertamax Turbo is set at IDR12,250 per liter, Pertamina Dex at IDR11,850 per liter, Dexlite at IDR10,500 per liter, and Non-PSO Biosolar at IDR9,800 per liter.
"The prices are still more competitive compared to the selling price at other gas stations," he explained.
