JCI Climbs 1.2 Percent, Foreign Investors Buys IDR 272.2 billion in Telkom Share

JAKARTA, NNC - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed strong 73 points (+ 1.24%) at 5,931.28 at the end of the weekend trading on Friday, Sept 14.


Foreign investors recorded a positive net transaction position supported by purchases of TLKM or Telkom shares valuing IDR 272 billion.

Throughout the day, the JCI moved in the range of 5,870 to 5,931. Some 238 stocks rose, 131 stocks plummeted, and 126 other stocks remained.

Trading volume reached 7.66 billion shares, frequency of 341,785 times, and transaction value of IDR 5.69 trillion. In total, foreign investors recorded a net buy position of IDR 270 billion in all markets.

A number of sectoral indexes shares climbed, led by the infrastructure sector, which rose 2.19 percent, followed by the multifarious industry sector, which rose 2.07 percent, and the trade sector climbing 1.39 percent.

PKPK shares held the highest rise (top gainer) by 34.57 percent to IDR 144 per share, followed by MDIA up 34.48 percent to IDR 156 per share, and MYTX rose 25 percent to IDR 150 per share.

Meanwhile, the top losers includes RELI, which fell 18.12 percent to IDR 262 per share, followed by ASJT slumping 10.91 percent to IDR 310 per share, and ASBI easing 10.11 percent to IDR 302 per share.
