KUPANG, NNC - Garuda Indonesia opens additional flights for Kupang-Makassar route from four times a week to daily.
"The extra flight is only for the Kupang-Makasar flight route from four times a week to daily due to significant increase in demand," said Garuda Indonesia of Kupang Branch General Manager Yudi M Furkon in Kupang, Wednesday (6/13/2018).
He said this answering the question from Antara via chat message, related to extra flights to accommodate the needs of Eid al-Fitr (Lebaran) 2018 homecoming season.
"Ahead of Lebaran this year, Garuda Indonesia does not open extra flights in the NTT [East Nusa Tenggara] area. Addition of flight frequency is only for Kupang-Makassar route from four times a week to every day," he said, as quoted by Antara.
The addition of this flight frequency is in order to accommodate the needs of transportation for Lebaran homecoming.
Meanwhile the Lion Air group through its subsidiary, Wings Air, opened a new route Kupang-Lombok-Kupang since May 25, 2018.
Lion Air Manager Rynus Zeboa said that before Eid, it only opens the new route Kupang-Lombok-Kupang with daily flights.
