JAKARTA, NNC - In order to build the capacity of human resources in e-commerce logistics in Indonesia, the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs cooperates with Temasek Foundation International Singapore.
In the cooperation, the Singapore-based state-owned enterprise has disbursed funds of approximately SGD1.1 million or equivalent to IDR11.5 billion through a capacity building program in e-commerce logistics with the Singapore Cooperation Enterprise.
Deputy of Trade and Industry Coordination at Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Elen Setiadi, said that in the future vocation-wise the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) is involved in the signing.
"With the office of Coordinating Minister of Economy SGD620,899, then with Kemenristekdikti SGD482,120," said Elen Setiadi in Jakarta, Monday (3/12/2018).
According to Elen, Singapore has a better e-commerce development compared to countries in the ASEAN region. Moreover, Temasek will involve Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE) and Republic Polytechnic Singapore (RP).
She also encouraged PT Pos in this respect in order to learn a lot from this cooperation by turning PT Pos into a supporter of logistics of e-commerce sector.
"For example how to change PT Pos from currently regular PT Pos to be a supporter or backbone of e-commerce logistics. Because e-commerce requires the accuracy of time, cost, then also others," concluded Elen.
