Majority Sectors Positive, JCI Rises 0.58 Percent

JAKARTA, NNC - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) extended its gains after closing up 35.03 points (+0.58 percent) to 6,035.50 in late trading on Wednesday (12/6/2017). A total of 143 stocks recorded rising in prices, 201 stocks fell, and 123 other stocks did not change in price.

Throughout today's trading, the composite index was moving in the range of 6,001.08 to 6,044.33.

The stock trading volume was 12.63 billion shares with a frequency of 372,722 transactions with a transaction value of IDR7.7 trillion. Foreign investors recorded a net buying of IDR60.83 billion in the regular market.

The shares that contribute to the foreign net selling value were Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BBRI), Bank Central Asia (BBCA), Bank Negara Indonesia (BBNI), Astra International (ASII) and Media Nusantara Citra (MNCN).

Most of the sectoral index of stocks rose led by the miscellaneous industry sector with 1.57 percent, finance 1.46 percent, and base industry with 1.27 percent. Meanwhile, the deepest weakening sectors were the mining sector with 0.75 percent, and agribusiness with 0.6 percent.

Shares of Gadjah Tunggal (GJTL) recorded the largest transaction frequency of 17,609 times and ranked the most active stocks, followed by Sri Rejeki Isman (SRIL) with 16,689 times and Martina Berto (MBTO) 15,084 times.
