JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - The government through the Ministry of Finance released a new regulation on taxation in order to capture the sector that becomes the revenue generator for the state.
Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati directly socialized the rule of exemption of administrative sanctions against taxpayers who voluntarily disclosed their property on Tax Return (SPT).
The regulation is stipulated in Regulation of the Minister of Finance (PMK) No. 165 of 2017 which is a revision to the PMK No. 118 of 2016 on the implementation of Law No. 11 of 2016 on Tax Amnesty.
Located at Auditorium Cakti Buddhi Bhakti, Marie Muhammad Building Central Office of Directorate General of Taxation, Jakarta, Monday (11/27/2017), Sri Mulyani socialized the rule in front of business actors, banking to notary public in Indonesia.
Director General of Taxes Ken Dwijugiasteadi said there were 300 participants who attended the socialization of PMK No. 165 of 2017. Participants ranged from association of entrepreneurs (Apindo), Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), young entrepreneurs (Hipmi), Real-Estate Indonesia (REI), tax consultants association (IKPI), procurement experts association (IAPI), state banks (Himbara), national banks (Perbanas) to land deed's officials (IPPAT), and Indonesian Notaries Association.
The PMK No. 165 Year 2017 is an opportunity for taxpayers to express voluntarily their assets. Taxpayers who have participated in tax amnesty or those who have not will be spared from the imposition of administrative sanctions of 200 percent for having disclosed their property.
Ken also explained the socialization of PMK 165 is not the second volume of Tax Amnesty.
For taxpayers who have revealed their property in Tax Return of Final Income Tax period, they only pay tariffs in accordance with Government Regulation No. 36 of 2017, wherein individuals are 30 percent, public agencies 25 percent and certain individuals or entities of 12.5 percent.
it is known that Government Regulation No. 36 of 2017 governs the imposition of income tax on certain income in the form of net assets that are treated or considered as income.
If the taxpayers reported it before the Directorate General of Taxes found the treasures that have not been revealed then what should be paid is the normal tariff in accordance with the regulation 36. The taxpayers who have not revealed and are found by the Directorate General of Taxes will be subject to 200 percent tax penalty for the participants of amnesty tax, and 2 percent maximum of 24 months for those who did not participate in Tax Amnesty program.
