Over 3 Years of Jokowi Administration, Here are Biggest Obstacles in Infrastructure Project

President Joko Widodo

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM - Ahead of Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla (Jokowi-JK)'s 3-year administration, the achievement of the infrastructure development plan has reached around 60 percent. This is a distinct achievement for the government to date.

Nevertheless, President Jokowi mentioned several things that become the biggest obstacles from the implementation of infrastructure development activities.

According to him, the biggest obstacles are still around issues in the field including land acquisition issues, although not as much as in the first year.

The next obstacle is too much regulation, too many regulations from Law, Government Regulation, Presidential Regulation, to Ministerial Regulation, Regional Registration, Governor Regulation, Mayor Regulation, to Regent Regulation.

"That's complicated so that our bureaucracy cannot move swiftly," said Jokowi as quoted from the official website of the Cabinet Secretariat, Tuesday (10/17/2017).

According to him, there are some overlapping regulations and some other things that burden the implementation of the government program.

In fact, in essence Jokowi wants the regulation can actually expedite and accommodate people to do something, quickly decide, and quickly act.
