Not only to share information, the Internet is also started to be used for industrial purposes because the various services for consumers are now beginning to be more connected to the Internet, or familiarly called the Internet of Thing (IoT).
The hospitality industry, including hotel and travel, is now increasingly establishing itself to expand the use of internet technology in various aspects of its business, ranging from hotel room booking systems, consumer databases (big data), to smart room systems that allows room users to control various facilities in room with touch screen device.
Given the growing role of the Internet and IT sector in applications in the hospitality industry, the Indonesian Internet Service Provider Association (APJII), took the initiative to hold an annual International Internet Expo and Summit (IIXS) exhibition entitled "Internet Based Service in Hospitality Market ( Internet Usage in Hospitality Industry ", to be held on 23 - 25 November 2017 and held at the Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta.
Jamalul Izza, Chairman of APJII, said that the International Expo and Summit (IIXS) Expo this year hopes to connect the internet world with the hospitality industry. "Therefore we take the theme of Internet Based Service in Hospitality Market," he said, Thursday (12/10/2017).
APJII, which has 380 members from internet service providers across Indonesia. This year is the second year of IIXS held. The uniqueness of this grand event this year is APJII connecting direct actors in both industries because at the same time in the same place also held exhibitions and business-to-business (B2B) "The Hotel Week Indonesia" conference, which is an exhibition and the exhibition of hotel and tourism that comes with the concept of "One-stop Global Resourse Hotel & Hospitality" supported by various hotel associations in Indonesia, presents the event "The Hotel Week Indonesia".
The IIXS event is also supported by the Ministry of Communications and Informatics and the Ministry of Industry.
